Additional Collector Asma issues show cause to owner of non-duty paid crockery

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Asma Hameed issued a show cause notice to accused person who is allegedly involved in smuggling of foreign origin plastic and glassware crockery 3000 kilograms.

As per the details the Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) Sargodha has seized foreign origin plastic and glassware crockery during a successful raid and team asked the owner Muhammad Khalid to show documents regarding legal import of the items. But he remained failed.

Deputy Director Rana Irfan Shouqat forwarded the case to customs adjudication for further legally action.

Now Customs Adjudication issued notices to accused person on the violation of Section 10-A. 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act 1969. However the adjudication has directed the accused to file reply by given time.  The cases of smuggled goods might be decided in the next hearing 5-2-2019.
