Additional Collector Asma orders release of fresh apples on payment of taxes

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Asma Hameed ordered the release of foreign origin fresh apples on the payment of duties and taxes and also directed to release Hino truck being used for smuggling.

As per details, Customs ASO Mianwali Superintendent Chaudhary Sardar Muhammad received a tip-off that an attempt would be made to smuggle foreign origin fresh apples 10500 kilograms from Afghanistan to Mianwali loaded on Hino truck bearing registration no: TKG-710 Lasbella.

Anti-Smuggling Organization shifted the detained fresh apples to the Faisalabad Dry Port along with trucks.
