Additional Collector Basit Maqsood issues show cause notice to Sepoy Khurram Shahzad

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Preventive Additional Collector Basit Maqsood Abbasi has issued a show cause notice to Sepoy Khurram Shahzad son of Nazir Ahmed.

According to show cause notice no: C.No.01/Confl-6(07)/2019/332 it is stated that “Sepoy Khurram Shahzad son of Nazir Ahmed while posting at Customs House, Lahore committed acts of gross “inefficiency” and “mis-conduct” in terms of Rules 3 (a) & (b) of the Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973′.

“He applied leave on medical grounds w.e.f. 4.3.2019 to 18.3.2019 along with medical certificate of a private practitioner Dr. Muhammad Asghar Siddique, Family Physician Siddiqui Medical Centre. The same medical certificate was sent to the above medical centre for genuineness. It has been reported by the concerned doctor that the said medical certificate is fake. So he is habitual absconder from official duty and a defaulter of government dues amounting to Rs34,000,’ the notice said.

The show cause notice further stated that “Sepoy Khurram Shahzad son of Nazir Ahmed is required under Rule 5 (i) (iii) (a) & (b) of the (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules 1973 of the aforementioned rules to submit written defence to the additional collector within 10 days of the date of communication of show notice along with statement of allegations’.

In case of failure within the stipulated period it shall be deemed that he has nothing to say in his defence and appropriate action shall be taken against him as provided under the above rules.
