Additional Collector Beelam hears 10 cases on Tuesday

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam-r Ramzan heard 10 cases of smuggling involving different amounts of customs duty and taxes.

According to details, Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO), Faisalabad, Mianwali, Sargodha, Jhang and Sara-e-Muhajir seized huge quantity of smuggled goods, including non-duty paid Hino truck, foreign origin cloth, cigarettes, Toyota vehicles, ball bearing and other miscellaneous contraband items.

The Faisalabad Customs ASO forwarded six cases of smuggling to customs Adjudication involving duty and taxes amounting to Rs 11,474,194. Three cases were submitted by Sargodha Anti Smuggling Organization involving Rs 3762115.

On the other hand, Mianwali ASO filed one cases amounting to Rs 1558474, while Jhang ASO forwarded one case involving Rs 1297786. The additional collector after hearing the cases adjourned all the cases until next hearing.
