Additional Collector Beelam issues ONO against  owner of non duty paid Toyota Mark X

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam ur Ramzan has issued Order in Original (ONO) against the owner of non duty paid and ordered to impound the vehicle.

As per the details, Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) team impounded a non duty Toyota car bearing registration number LEF- 13-4849 near Model Bazar Jhang Road Faisalabad. That vehicle was bought into country without payment of customs duty and taxes. The team asked the driver Muhammad Razwan to produce legal customs-duty paid documents but he was failed to produce the same. On this the Customs authorities impounded the vehicles according to customs rules and regulations.

It is necessary to mention here that neither owner nor his authorized person approached for clearance of their vehicle. Later, the case was sent to Customs Adjudication for further legal action.

Inspector Ali Zahid, Khalid Ashraf Noor appeared before the authority, while no one appeared to defend the case from respondent’s side nor any written reply was received from the respondent.

Therefore, Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam ur Ramzan ordered to impounded the vehicle under clause 14 of Section 156 (1), 157(1) and (2) of the Customs Act 1969.
