Additional Collector Beelamur Ramzan issues notice to owner of smuggled Honda vehicle

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelamur Ramzan issued a show cause notice to owner of non-duty paid Honda Accord car case involving Rs 1,400,000 taxes. That market vehicle of seized vehicle is Rs9,00,000.

As per details, Customs Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO), intercepted a foreign origin used Honda accord car bearing registration no. AFZ-119 near State Bank of Pakistan GTS Chowk Faisalabad. The team asked the driver namely Mohammad Amjad son of Muhammad Akmal resident of Korangi Karachi to show documents regarding legal import of the vehicle but he could not produce the any kind of documents.

Therefore, the officials impounded the vehicle under customs laws and forwarded case to Customs Adjudication for further legal action.

Now, Additional Collector Beelam issued notice to the accused person on the violation of Section 10-A. 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act, 1969.

However, the adjudication has directed the accused to file reply on next date of hearing. The seizing agency has also been directed to file reply in the respective case.

The adjudication authority also directed Customs anti smuggling Superintendent Mr, Saeed akhtar Joiya to attend the hearing on schedule date along with relevant record.
