Additional Collector Beelamur Ramzan issues notice to owner of non-duty paid Honda Accord

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelamur Ramzan has issued a show-cause notice to the owner of a non-duty paid Honda Accord car.

Sources told Customs Today that the additional collector issued the show cause notice to Muhammad Amjad who is owner of non-duty paid Honda Accord car.

Sources said that accused brought Honda accord car bearing registration no. MLC- 6767 in grey colour model 2004 into the country through un-authorized routes and without payment of customs duty. The market value of the vehicle is Rs 900,000 involving customs duty and taxes to the tune of Rs 1,400,000.

The Anti-Smuggling Organization Faisalabad authorities after impounding the vehicle near State Bank of Pakistan GTS Chowk Faisalabad forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication for further proceedings.

The authority also directed the owner to provide evidence during the hearing of case because the case will be decided on the basis of evidence available on demand.

Collectorate also directed the Deputy Collector Muhammad Rizwan Khan or other officer with the case proceedings may be deputed to attend the hearing on the schedule date 4-8-2016 along with relevant record.
