Additional Collector Fayaz Anwar orders confiscation of alloy rims, vehicle worth Rs15m‏

MULTAN: Additional Collector Adjudication Fayaz Anwar has declared the confiscation goods of Hafiz Steel Mills Gujranwala as lawful.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation authorities had seized a truck bearing registration number TLF -300 in an action near Qadirpur Multan. The Customs team found used alloy rims in the loaded truck during the examination.

The Customs seized both vehicle and rims and forwarded the seizure case to the Customs Adjudication for further proceedings. The weight of the seized goods was almost 4,800 kilogram.

Additional Collector Fayaz Anwar conducted proceedings of the seizure case in which the goods declared in the import documents were new alloy rims with various varieties but the customs recovered used alloy rims. The used alloy rims were not imported items.

The additional collector issued orders for the out rightly confiscation of the goods along with vehicles when the importer failed to prove legality of the seized goods before adjudication. The worth of the seized goods and vehicles is almost Rs 15 million.
