Additional Collector Saeed Asad hears 18 cases

FAISALABAD: The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad heard 18 cases of smuggling involving duty and taxes on Monday.

The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO), Faisalabad, Mianwali, Sargodha, Jhang and Sara-e- Muhajir seized huge quantity of smuggled goods, including non-duty paid Hino truck, foreign origin cloth, cigarettes, Toyota vehicle, ball bearing and other miscellaneous contraband items.

The Faisalabad Customs forwarded three smuggled cases to Customs Adjudication while one case was submitted by Jhang Anti Smuggling Organization.

On the other hand, Minawali ASO filed four cases, while Sargodha ASO forwarded five cases and four cases were also submitted by MCC import branch, Bonds, DTRE. The additional collector after hearing the cases adjourned all the cases until next date of hearing.
