Additional Collector Saima Aftab hears two cases

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Saima Aftab conducted the hearing of two smuggling cases worth Rs4,273,317 forwarded by Customs Intelligence and Investigation.

Sources told Customs Today that additional collector heard a case against M/s Digicon Trading which is allegedly involved in smuggling of Q-Mobile phones (1530 numbers) worth Rs22,83,280.

Sources said that Additional Collector Saima Aftab also heard case of Mudassar Hussain and others involved in smuggling of material along with vehicle. The party evaded customs duty and taxes worth Rs19,90,037.

During hearing customs counsel said that container was being used for transportation of smuggled goods and was plying on road without payment of duty taxes. The Customs Intelligence team seizes items according to customs rule and regulation.

After conducting hearing of cases, Additional Collector Customs adjudication Faisalabad adjourned all cases until next dates. The ADC directed all relevant parties to make ensure their appearance during next date of hearing.
