BUDAPEST: AdePlast’s exports went up by 36 percent to EUR 4 million in 2016 and the constructions materials maker plans to grow its sales further on the European market this year.

„We have thought for a while to enter the Ukrainian market, but the politics evolution from there still makes us reluctant. However we are constantly prospecting the market. We are attentive to all that happens in the European space plus UK and due to the current strategy we expect an increase of 40 percent in exports in 2017.  If we take into account only the Bulgarian market, we see a huge potential.  Funds worth EUR 500 million are alloted for the thermal rehabilitation that focuses on 2,000 flats. The money comes from European funds and the owners don’t have to pay anything. We grew by 174 percent in Bulgaria and 88 percent in Hungary and the potential is huge taking into account this information,” says Marcel Barbut, owner of AdePlast.
