Additional Collector Adjudication Beelam orders to release Hino truck

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelamur Ramazan ordered to release the foreign origin used Hino Ranger truck.

Sources told Customs Today that the ASO team intercepted a Hino truck bearing registration no. TKA-385 (Jaffarabad) near Byepass Lahore Road district Sargodha. When asked, the driver, named Muhammad Umar son of Abaid Ullah residential Watta Kareez tehsil and district Pasheen to produce  legal documents regarding this vehicle but he could not produced any relevant documents. The team impounded the vehicle and forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication.

During hearing proceedings Ghulam Mutaza represented from the respondent side and stated that his vehicle was properly registered with Motor Registration Authority, Jaffarafad and its registration number JA- 942 was later registered with a new number TKA-385. The seizing agency has formed the case on ground of non production of import document of lawful import of the vehicle, The MRA , Jaffarabad was asked by the seizing agency to confirm the particular of the vehicle registered against registration no. TKA 385 . They verified the registration number as TKA – 385 (JA942)

Moreover, the Forensic Science Laboratory of the chassis plate issued by FSL shows there is no tempering and no number other than FC3 WEA-10461 has been developed after chemical treatment which is in accordance to the registration book and the seized vehicle.

Additional Collector Beelam Ramzan heard the case where the seizing agency could not prove the charges established in the show cause notice. Therefore, the court ordered to release the vehicle unconditionally to its lawful owner.
