Adjudication Addl. Collector Saima Aftab issues final notices to 7 culprits

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Saima Aftab issued final notices to seven accused person allegedly involved in duty/taxes evasion amounting to Rs 10.74 million.

The adjudication has issued notices through Mianwali Anti-Smuggling Orgainsation (ASO), Sargodha ASO and Faisalabad ASO directing them to appear before the court on May 10, 2016.

An accused person named Shahzad who is involved in smuggling of a vehicle involving Rs 1.2 million has been directed to attend the hearing, while two culprits namely as Khuram Altaf and Riaz Hussain nominated in a case pertaining to the smuggling of cigarettes, cloth and baby shoes involving Rs 3.55 million.

The additional collector also issued hearing notices to two people named Iftikhar Ahmad and Muhammad Sajid allegedly involved in tax evasion of Rs 2.133 million on the import of Hino Mazda Truck and Hino Truck Dumper.

However, M/s Magna Textile nominated in a case involving Rs 2.33 million and M/s Elite Enterprises allegedly involved in tax evasion of Rs 1.51 million have also been issued notices to appear before the court.
