Adjudication Additional Collector Saima hears six cases involving million of rupees

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional collector Saima Aftab heard six cases of smuggling filed by Customs Intelligence and Investigation on Thrusday.

The additional collector heard a case against Muhammad Anwar Khan allegedly involved in bringing a Hino Truck worth Rs 1.708 million into the country without payment of duty/taxes and a case against Waseem Iqbal, facing charges of smuggling of a generator worth Rs 1.27 million.

Saima Aftab also heard a case of Muniem Hakeem Umar allegedly involved in evading tax amounting to Rs 2.571 on the import of a 500 KVA generator. A case of 600 KVA generator smuggling against Farhan Saleem was also scheduled for the day and a case of Toyota Corolla car worth Rs 1.09 million against unknown accused was also heard. There was also another case for hearing, which was filed by the Customs Intelligence.
