Adjudication Additional Collector Saima recovers Rs 8m by deciding four cases

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Saima Aftab has issued four Order-in-Origins involving duty/taxes to the tune of Rs 8.85 million.

According to the details, the additional collector heard the cases of non-duty paid vehicles, whereas all cases were forwarded by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation. The adjudication decided all the cases in favour of the Customs Adjudication as these vehicles were brought into country without payments of customs duty and taxes through an unauthorized route.

Furthermore, Customs Adjudication decided cases including a case Hino Ranger Truck bearing Registration No. TKB-370 involving duty and taxes amounting to Rs 3.82 million, a case of Toyota Hilux Surf Registration No. LEE-13-236 involving Rs 2.18 million duty/taxes, a case of six wheeler Hino Ranger Truck No. SBA-339 recovering Rs 1.52 million and a case of a truck bearing Registration No. SBA-824 involving Rs 1.31 million.
