Adjudication DC Asma issues 3 notices in smuggling cases

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma Hameed has issued show cause notices to accused parties in three different cases.

All these cases were submitted by Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) of Jhang and Sargodha and Faisalabad. The smuggled items, including whey powder, sulphate, yarn, Toyota Hiace van, LED TV, remotes, receivers and shoes were confiscated by the customs authorities under the customs laws. After making seizures, the information reports have been forwarded to the Faisalabad Customs Adjudication.

Deputy Collector Asma Hameed  issued one show cause notices to Mubashir of UM Enterprises accused of smuggling of whey powder, one show cause notice issued through Sargodha ASO to Mansoor Arif in Toyota Hiace van case and another was issued to Zafar, Jawad, Imran in LED TV, remote, receiver, and shoes smuggling case.

Deputy Collector Asma Hameed also directed the department to deputy seizure officers or other officer to attend proceedings in the court on scheduled date along with relevant record.
