Adjudication DC Asma issues 7 ONOs against smugglers

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma hameed has issued seven Orders-in-Original (ONOs) against the culprits who were involved in the smuggling and tax evasion.

Deputy Collector Asma issued an ONO in favour of the Faisalabad Customs Intelligence and Investigation by decided a case of confiscated golden bridge rods, which were brought into country without payment of duty/taxes.

The adjudication settled a case of seized 145 cartons of vacuum flask that were captured by the Sara-e-Muhajir Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) during an action and decided the case in favour of the department.

In another case, the deputy collector issued ONO in favour of Faisalabad ASO in a case of a non-duty paid Titan Truck.

Furthermore, the adjudication authority issued four ONOs in liquor smuggling cases. All the cases were decided in the favour of the Faisalabad Customs Air Freight Unit (AFU).
