Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma declares confiscation of truck as lawful

FAISALABAD: Custom Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma Hameed has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in favour of Sargodha Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) by declaring the confiscation of Hino Truck as lawful.

As per details, the ASO team held a check post on Khushab road and intercepted a truck bearing Registration No. TKA-084. The officials asked the driver named Nazim Bashir to show the documents regarding the customs clearance of the vehicle.

But, the driver could not show documents on which the officials impounded the vehicle and referred the case to Customs Adjudication for further action.

Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma Hameed heard the case where ASO representative presented arguments saying that act of tampering the chassis number, amply clarifies that an attempt was made by respondent to use a smuggled.

After hearing the arguments, the deputy collector ordered to impound the vehicle.
