KARACHI: The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-I issued an Order-in-Original (ONO) against Qureshi Textile Limited for allegedly evading Rs 12.5 million in wake of duty/taxes on the import of foreign origin cloth.
As per details, the textile mill imported a consignment consisting of cloth worth Rs 188 million. The Model Customs Collectorate alleged in its investigation report that the said company violated the SRO 1125 (I)/2011 while importing the cloth and evaded taxes.
The report was sent to the Customs Adjudication-I for further legal proceeding and now the competent authority has issued ONO against the accused company directing him to pay evaded duty/taxes along with imposed fine.
