KARACHI: The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-I has issued show cause notice to M/s Junaid Forwarding Agency for allegedly mis-declaring the consignments of vacuum food warmer.
According to the sources, the Post Clearance Audit (PCA) while scrutinising the record of company found that it was allegedly involved in tax evasion amounting to Rs 1.6 million by mis-declaring the PCT heading for availing undue benefits on three consignments.
After making the audit report, the PCA sent it to the adjudication-I for further legal action against the said importer.
Therefore, the collector sent show cause notice to company and directed it to appear before the authority to defend the allegation.
