TOKYO: Advanced Warfare has received a new patch 1.06 on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Players have been experiencing freezing issues on PS3 since December 1.05 update and it was believed that 1.06 will fix this.

However, reports suggest that it’s not the case. Freezing issues are still being reported on PS3.

According to the patch notes, both PS3 and Xbox 360 received some changes and improvement to connectivity issues and content management for in-game item purchases. Patch notes also mention that future updates will bring some new activities such as daily challenges.

Patch notes are not in details but it is possible that this update brings Ranked Play Season 1 changes as well. Ranked Play Season 1 starts on Jan. 9, 2015 until January 31. Players will compete in 4v4 matches of Search and Destroy; Capture the Flag, Hard point, and Uplink.

Players will be matched against others of comparable skill and will advance to a higher division by winning matches. Losing matches will cause them to lose points as well.

Ranked Play will feature bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, and master division. Advancing to each division will give players exclusive rewards.

All Ranked Play matches will be played under eSports settings which mean Exo-Stim and Exo-Cloak perks won’t be available as they were recently said to be removed from eSports matches.
