KABUL: Afghan counternarcotics department seized at least three tonnes of drugs and set ablaze in central Parwan province, said the Interior Ministry here the other day.
The director general of the counternarcotics department at the Interior Ministry, Abdul Khalil Bakhtiar, said the drugs included heroin, hashish, opium and alcohol. He added that around 200 tons of drugs were torched countrywide this year and at least 2,030 detainees were introduced to judiciaries on charges of drugs smuggling.
