LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force arrested a female who attempted to smuggle 480 grammes of heroin from Zimbabwe to Lahore. Later on, she was produced before the court where it was revealed that woman is an AIDS patient.
According to details, Katota Daru was detained in the women’s cell of Kot Lakhpat prison. During her medical check-up, it was found that she is suffering from HIV.
The special judge of Anti-Narcotics Court, after examining her medical report, immediately ordered the officials concerned to send her back to Zimbabwe as soon as possible. The court converted her days that she spent in jail during trial as her sentence and ordered to send her back to her country.
