ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) released the Performance Evaluation Report of DISCOs. The performance evaluation Report is part of NEPRA’s various efforts to introduce reforms in the energy sector. As this was the first ever attempt at publishing performance report of the DISCOs, NEPRA mainly relied upon the reported data as provided by these companies.

The data though needs further authentication and streamlining it nevertheless provides a steady ground for analyzing DISCOs performance in future. The data would be further scrutinized and verified for the future reports and any false documentation would lead to penalties and actions taken against the companies misquoting any figures.
