TEXAS: NXT-ID is on watch following reports that the US Customs and Border Patrol is testing out a new system of biometric programs.
According to Motherboard, one part of the program is the Biometric Entry and Exit initative, which has customs testing out fingerprint and iris scanners along the Mexican border.
While NXT-ID is more focused on the consumer market, the broader usage of the technology by government agencies could beef up its standing in the public eye as a go-to method when looking to keep things secure. Shares are indicated for a higher open.
