AFU collects Rs 23.28b in Jan, Rs 419.14m less than Dec

KARACHI: The Air Freight Unit (AFU) of Model Customs Collectorate MCC Preventive has collected revenue of Rs 2328.75 million altogether in the month of January, 2015 in different revenue heads including Customs Duty, Sales Tax, Additional Sales Tax, Withholding Tax and Federal Excise Duty.

According to the revenue statistics, the AFU has collected an amount of Rs 692.99 million Customs Duty, Rs 936.72 million in share of Sales Tax, Rs 56.64 million in share of Additional Sales Tax, Rs 642.37 million in share of Withholding Tax and Rs 0.03 million in share of Federal Excise Duty in the month of Jan, 2015.

AFU MCC Preventive collected an amount of Rs 2747.90 million in share of Customs Duty, Sales Tax, Additional Sales Tax and Income Tax in the month of December, 2014.

According to given statistics, the AFU MCC Preventive collected an amount of Rs 777.98 million in terms of Customs Duty, Rs 1118.22 million in terms of Sales Tax and Rs 77.31 million in terms of Additional Sales Tax and an amount of Rs 774.39 million in terms of Income Tax in the month of December, 2014.

It may be mentioned here that the AFU MCC Preventive has collected Rs 419.15 million less in terms of revenue collection as compared to the previous month i.e. December, as the AFU collected the total revenue of Rs 2747.90 million in the previous month in different heads.

The Collector MCC Preventive Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda has stressed upon the officials deputed at AFU to ensure achieving the revenue targets in upcoming months during the Fiscal Year 2014-15.
