The Air Freight Unit (AFU) Islamabad was allocated the revenue collection target of Rs303.75million whereas it earned Rs605.78million for first 15 days of November’s Financial Year (FY) 2017-18.
According to details explained by Additional Collector Nisar Ahmed Phullerwan that Customs AFU Islamabad showed satisfactory performance during first 15 days of current month. The AFU earned Rs185.20million under the head of Customs Duty (CD) against the earmarked revenue target of Rs114.3million under the same head for first 15 days of November’s FY17-18. The AFU generated Rs70.9million extra revenue during 15 days against the assigned proportional revenue target.
Nisar Ahmed was told that, during above said period, the AFU collected Rs288.11million revenue of Sales Tax (ST) against the allocated proportional revenue target of Rs125.7million as ST. The AFU beat the proportional assigned target for first 15 days of November FY17-18 with an extra amount of Rs162.41million under of ST.
He further said that the AFU got Rs132.47million of Income Tax (IT) against the allocated proportional target of Rs.63.75million. The Additional Collector further added that the AFU received the earmarked proportional revenue collection target as IT during first 15 days of November’s FY17-18 with an extra amount of Rs68.72million.
Nisar Ahmed is optimistic that the AFU Islamabad will not only meet the assigned target under all the heads for the month of November FY17-18 but also surpass the allocated revenue target as it already beat the earmarked targets of 1st Quarter FY17-18 and October’s FY17-18.
