AGP allocates Rs 79.8m for Customs Preventive for FY2016-17

KARACHI: The Accountant General of Pakistan (AGP) has estimated the budget forecast for the Customs Collectorate Preventive for the Fiscal Year-2016-17, it is learnt here.

The sources informed Customs Today that the estimated budget forecast for the Customs Preventive would be revised soon as it was a practice in the last Fiscal Year2015-16, as the budget estimated figure for the Customs Preventive was revised in the FY2015-16.

Sources said that the estimated budget for the Customs Preventive is Rs 79.8 million, adding that the estimated budget for the FY2015-16 was Rs 7.95 million which was later revised by the Accountant General of Pakistan and it was stood at Rs 1.12 billion.

The sources informed that the authorities concerned are mulling over to revise the estimated budget which has been allocated for the Customs Preventive.

The sources further informed that the authorities concerned of Customs Preventive are requested the FBR authorities to allocate budget in operating expenses, repairs and maintenance, and travel and transportation.
