Ahsan Iqbal for introducing fundamental changes in recruiting system

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning Development and Reforms, Ahsan Iqbal here on Tuesday called for introducing fundamental changes in recruiting system in government sector.

Chairing a meeting on civil service reforms, the minister said that new governance model based on institutional, inclusiveness, collaborative and citizen-focused themes need of the hour, said a statement.

He also asked for revamping the performance evaluation system on modern lines to enhance the performance of governmental institutions for socio economic development of the country.

He said that performance contracts are being introduced for ministries to bring greater efficiency.

National University of Public and Policy Administration is being established and modern disciplines will be introduced in training performance to upgrade public offices, he added.

Ahsan Iqbal said that reforms in civil service examination also required attracting specialists for different sectors.
