Air Chief on preparedness: PAF a force to be reckoned with

KARACHI: PAF Chief Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafiq Butt declared that Pakistan Air Force was capable enough and prepared to respond any aggression and threat to the motherland in a befitting manner.

Talking to media persons at IDEAS-2014 at Karachi Expo Centre, the Air Chief said that the PAF was a professional and committed force having capabilities more than enough to thwart all evil design against the motherland. No one can cast an evil eye on Pakistan and the PAF always is ready to respond any such move, he declared.
The Air Chief pointed out that Pakistan was a peace-loving country and had no aggressive designs, adding that no power on earth could stop Pakistan to make its defence impregnable for preservation of peace and sovereignty of Pakistan.

To a question, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafiq Butt said that many countries were interested in JF-17 Thunder aircraft which were modern and cost effective fighter jets. He said negotiations were going on with some countries for deal.

He said relations between Pakistan and Russia had improved considerably and both the countries enjoyed friendly relations. He said he was the first to visit Russia and after that there had been exchange of several visits. To another question, the Air Chief said Pakistan is making Drones and using them as well. Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain said that Pakistan had very huge potential for arms and ammunition production, therefore, PML-N government had doubled their export and would further enhance.
