Ajman customs seizes 13,000 fake gas cylinders worth Dh1 million

DUBAI: Customs officers at Ajman port foiled an attempt to smuggle 13,000 fake gas cylinders, valued at Dh1 million, into the UAE from an Asian country.

Ali Jomaa Al Tamimi, director of customs affairs, said officers were suspicious when the company involved in the smuggling operation attempted to import the cylinders in several batches. The fake goods were shipped in 11 containers arriving across 10 days.
