FAIRBANKS: Gov. Bill Walker will have a revenue and tax bill ready for legislators at their next session. In a meeting with the Daily News Miner editorial board on 2015, Walker said he is putting together a package of “revenue enhancement options” to make Alaska’s budget sustainable. It will tap some of the earnings from the Alaska Permanent Fund, he said.

“Rest assured there will be legislation introduced at the first available session on revenue enhancement options,” he said of the state’s multibillion dollar deficit. “There’s no single lever to solve this. My philosophy is I think it’s important for Alaskans to see the whole picture and where we’re headed.”
