LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has granted bail to a smuggler named Yar Muhammad Yari, involved in alcohol smuggling.
The accused was booked by Rangers when he was trying to smuggle Indian origin alcohol to Muridke and Kasur. The Rangers’ personnel noticed some suspicious activity on the international border. During the course of checking, one smuggler fled away, but the other was arrested. The authorities recovered 100 bottles of alcohol from him.
Now the Special federal Court has approved the bail plea of the accused and asked him to make sure his presence on every hearing before the court. Bail of the accused has been approved against surety bonds and personal guarantees.
