LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has extended the judicial remand of two suspects for another 14 days in alcohol smuggling case.
Suspects Ghulam Ali and Muhammad Waqas were booked by the Pakistan Rangers after foiling an attempt of smuggling from India to Pakistan through Wagah border.
A team of Rangers arrested both smugglers and handed over them to Batapur Police that registered a case imposing the charges of smuggling and illegal crossing the international border. Later, the accused persons were presented before the court, which sends them to jail for their judicial trial.
The Customs Court also asked investigation team to complete their interim challan in next hearing.
