WASHINGTON: Authorities recently arrested a man in Coffee County on charges he was illegally in the United States, and had already been convicted of a federal aggravated felony for the transportation of illegal aliens.
Federal court records show authorities recently arrested Salvador Mendoza-Garcia, booking him into the Coffee County Jail on a charge of giving law enforcement a false name.
Records show agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Mendoza-Garcia earlier this week.
Records also show Mendoza-Garcia has had 12 voluntary returns to Mexico and three deportations to Mexico.
Mendoza-Garcia was also convicted of smuggling aliens or the transportation of illegal aliens in 2003, and received a 21-month federal prison sentence. A year later he was removed from the country as an aggravated felon, and given a lifetime ban from entering the U.S.
