KARACHI: On the directives of the higher authorities, all the Customs Collectorates will remain open and will observe extended working hours today (June 30) to facilitate the business community.
According to official sources, the employees of the all Customs Collectorates are directed to remain present in their offices till 12 midnight today for the collection of duties and the taxes.
Sources informed Customs Today due to the Eidul Fitr holidays the higher authorities decided to extend the office timings to facilitate the taxpayers as well as to boost revenue.
On the other hand, on the first working day after Eid holidays, attendance of the officials remained very low at the Customs House due to rain in the city. The electricity supply also remained suspended at the Customs House most of the time during office hours.
