All Customs Sections Islamabad collect Rs1000m more Customs Duty than target

ISLAMABAD: All the sections of Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad received an extra revenue of Rs1000million of Customs Duty during the month of December Financial Year 2017-18.

According to details explained by Dr. Saeed Khan Jadoon, Collector Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad, that, during the month of December FY17-18, all the sections, comprising Islamabad Dryport (IDP), Air Freight Unit (AFU), Car Section, C.Bond, Unaccompanied Baggage (UAB), Accompanied Baggage (AB), International Mail Office (IMO) and Rebate Refund Section working under command of MCC Islamabad, showed satisfactory performance under the head of CD against an assigned revenue target.
The Collector MCC Islamabad told the correspondent that all the customs stations, working under the MCC Islamabad, got a gross collection of Rs1651million of CD while it was allocated Rs549million as CD for December FY17-18.
The AFU earned Rs336million of CD against an earmarked revenue target of Rs270million whereas IDP did Rs1276million against an assigned target of Rs223million under the head of CD for the month of December FY17-18.
Jadoon further told CT that, during above said period, the C.Bond generated Rs1.56million against an allocated revenue target of Rs5.00million as CD while Car Section collected Rs2.37million against an earmarked target of Rs7.20million of CD. The UAB received Rs0.72million revenue against an assigned revenue target of Rs0.50million under the head of CD while the AB earned Rs2.56million of revenue as CD against an allocated revenue target of Rs2.40million. Saeed added that IMO generated Rs1.01million of CD against an earmarked revenue target of Rs0.65million.
Dr. Saeed Khan Jadoon informed Customs Today that, during the month of December FY17-18, the Rebate Refund Section paid Rs29.80million of rebate refunds under the head of CD during the month of December FY17-18.
