All mega development projects started during tenure of Nawaz Sharif: Aftab

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed on Wednesday said that all mega development projects had started during the tenure of the Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.  Responding to a point of order in the National Assembly, the minister said that era of the development in the country was started in 1990.

He said the mega project of Motorway was also started by the government of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in 1990 and millions of peoples getting benefits from it.

Sheikh Aftab said Pakistan Muslim League under the visionary leadership of Nawaz Sharif had made the country first atomic power of the Islamic countries.

He said the present government has started China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project in the country adding that various energy projects have also been initiated those would be completed by 2018.

Earlier speaking on the point of order, Leader of the Opposition Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah said that  parliament is the only forum to solve the issues and it was our responsibility to strengthen it. He said that Pakistan Peoples Party was doing friendly opposition for the sack of democracy. He said PPP had rendered sacrifices for strengthening democracy in the country.
