Earlier, the importers and Customs agents had to move towards FBR for allowing the NBP branches to accept the Customs duty because only two branches in Karachi were available for this purpose which was the main cause of delay in payments.

Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA) General Secretary Faisal Mushtaq said that there were only two branches one at the Customs House and the other at Nadir House, which were not enough. He said that at FBR portal 60 NBP branches have been authorised in Karachi for collecting taxes.
