BERLIN: The all-new 2016 Audi A4 revealed new spy photos surface online, which shows that it comes on step closer to its production debut.

The new midsized sedan has been spied testing in varying states of undress over the past year, offering a clear look at its profile and overall proportions.

Little in the way of fine details had been revealed, but these new shots deliver a first undisguised look at the new A4’s headlight design and cabin.

The new photos, published by Chinese website Autohome, reveal that we can expect another evolution of Audi’s familiar headlights, this time inverting the subtly stepped look of the outgoing range to create a jagged new hooked design.

A zed-shaped LED daytime light runs through the centre of the new design, flanked by an indicator and the main driving lamp.

The new model’s dashboard and centre console can also be seen in these shots, revealing a new free-standing centre display above a familiar rotary dial and gear lever layout.

The new shifter is noteably wider and shorter than in the current model, taking inspiration from the larger A8 limo.

The new A4, built on Audi’s lightweight MLB-Evo platform, is expected to make its world premiere at September’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
