Sources told Customs Today that Member FBR Rehmatullah Wazir assured his full support to PVC Pipes Manufacturers and invited them for negotiations to sort out the issues. Sources said that Member Customs FBR Nasir Masoor Ahmad will also take part in the negotiations.

On the other hand PVC Pipes manufacturers said that due to increase in customs duty on waste material being used for manufacturing of PVC pipes, the industry is heading towards disaster. They were of the view that common man will bear the entire burden and will have to pay extra prices. They feared that increase in pries will led to decrease in sales also whih will definitely put a negative impact on collection of taxes by FBR.

They appealed to FBR high-ups to look into this entire issue and resolve it on priority basis.
