All possible measures to be taken to address key issues of traders

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its President Atif Ikram Sheikh called on Sheikh Ansar Aziz and congratulated him on being elected as the first Mayor of Islamabad. The delegation apprised him of the main issues of business community and sought his support for resolving them.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Ansar Aziz, Lord Mayor of Islamabad said that after taking oath and establishing office, he would set up a Complaint Cell to register the complaints of citizens including business community for redress of their issues.
He said business community was playing an important role in developing the local economy and he would take all possible measures to address their key issues. He said that measures would be taken to curb corruption and urged that citizens should play role for discouraging the corrupt practices while dealing with local organizations. He assured that after assuming office, he would pay visit to ICCI to listen to the issues of business community.
Atif Ikram Sheikh, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry assured the newly elected Mayor of Islamabad that business community will extend all possible support to the local government in ICT for developing the federal capital on modern lines. He said markets, commercial centers and industrial areas in Islamabad needed upgradstion and rehabilitation of basic infrastructure including roads, footpaths, parking facilities, water filtration plants and sewerage system and hoped that newly elected Mayor would play his role in resolving these issues.
He also invited Sheikh Ansar Aziz to visit ICCI for an interaction with business community and share his vision for the development of the federal capital. Sheikh Abdul Waheed Vice President and Khalid Mehmood Chaudhry, former Senior Vice President ICCI were also present at the occasion.
