Amanat Khan nominated for World Customs Organisation programme

ISLAMABAD: Amanat Khan, Assistant Collector Dry Port Islamabad, has been nominated for the World Customs Organization’s Japan’s Career Development programme 2017-18.

According to details told by sources of the Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad that on the request of Secretary International Customs, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Islamabad, Collector MCC Islamabad has nominated Assistant Collector Amanat for above said Career Development Programme.

The sources added that it is required for said course that the nominee must have interest in maximum one or two areas i.e. capacity building, facilitation, origin, enforcement, nomenclature and valuation. The assistant collector has showed his interest in the enforcement.

The sources said the above said carrier programme provides capacity building opportunities like risk management and IPR which is essential for nominee. The sources said the above said programme needs three years of experience in customs and the nominee should have a university degree or equivalent professional qualification. The candidate must be proficient in English or French to attend this programme and it is also essential that the candidate will have to work in his/her home customs administration for three years at least after the completion of the programme.
