EALING: An amateur photographer Lloyd W.A. Cosway has captured stunning images of our galaxy the Milky Way in all its glowing glory over Dartmoor Natural Park.
Cosway, who described himself has having “a passion for landscapes”, pointed his camera towards outer space from moorland in Devon and captured the stunning scenes as part of his portfolio of work looking at the beauty and grandeur of star-filled skies.
“Being so close to Dartmoor, I find myself up there all the time”, says Cosway as quoted by The Mirror. “These shots was taken with a Nikon D800E, mounted on a tripod with an exposure of around 30 seconds.”
Cosway adds that the exposure of 30 seconds is apt as if it was any longer than that stars will have moved thereby creating a blur in the picture. The image below has juxtaposed next to the rugged landscape.
