Amazon sells 35,000 Yu Yureka phones in three flashes, vows to double unit availability on Feb 5

NEW DELHI: Amazon is going to host the third round of Micromax Yu Flash sale on February 5 at 2:00PM, and the registrations for the same are open. In its flash sale earlier today, the company sold 10,000 units in just three seconds.

In the three flash sales conducted by Yu via Amazon India, the company has sold 35,000 units. The most number of smartphones it has put up for sale so far is 15,000. But after today’s sale the company promised that it will double the availability of units in February.

“In the month of February, Yu is looking at ramping up the availability of the device and will put almost double the amount of devices for sale to enable more Yureka fans play limitless with ‘The Zeus of Phones’,” the company said in a statement.

Yureka is popular thanks to the set of specifications it offers at Rs 8,999. Under the hood, Yureka features a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The device comes with an onboard storage of 16GB and an expandable memory card slot.

Camera department consists of a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. On the software front, it runs on Cyanogen OS 11 based on Android KitKat.
