Ambassador Shoaib Sarwar calls on Finance Minister

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb held a meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Denmark, Shoaib Sarwar who called on him here.

During the meeting, various aspects of bilateral ties and ways for further enhancing cooperation and collaborations in the field of trade and commerce between Pakistan and Denmark were discussed.

enmark is set to initiate a three-year Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) programme with Pakistan’s energy sector starting January 2026, targeting development of low-carbon pathways, cost-efficient NDC implementation, and long-term variable renewable energy targets.

According to the news report, in a letter to the Power Division, Danish Charge d’Affaires Peter Emil Nielsen commended the Division for hosting a high-level Danish Energy Agency delegation in August 2025, which laid the groundwork for the 2026–2028 SSC programme.
