American Bankers Association announces top 3 winners in its contest

WASHINGTON: The American Bankers Association announced the top three winners in its national Lights, Camera, Save! video contest in recognition of America Saves Week.

The winning videos were revealed through a live broadcast on the association’s YouTube channel. The judging panel, which consisted of personal finance and marketing experts, awarded Christopher 2015LCSannouncementgraphic.JPGChoyce the grand prize for his video, “Life of Savings.”

Choyce, from Denmark, Maine, was a national finalist after winning first place at the Norway Savings Bank branch in Norway, Maine. ABA will also award a free registration on behalf of each student to Jump$tart’s National Educator Conference this fall in Washington, D.C. The parent program, Teach Children to Save, is a national campaign to organize banker volunteers in efforts to educate young people about the importance of developing a lifelong savings habit.

Frank Keating, ABA president and CEO, said, “In only 41 seconds, Christopher’s video takes you through one’s life journey, exploring the endless possibilities once you start saving. Christopher’s video will inspire other kids and teens to view savings as a life-long journey.”
