AMTF to set up blood donation camp at KCCI

KARACHI: Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation (AMTF) will set up a blood donation camp at Majeed Bawany Auditorium of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on March 11, 2015 between 10:00am to 4:00pm.

President KCCI, Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra has requested all members to come forward and cooperate with AMTF’s team by donating blood for this noble cause in order to minimize the sufferings of thalassemia patients and their families in distress.

Vohra also appreciated various initiatives undertaken by AMTF to provide free of cost healthcare services to Thalassemia patients. AMTF was doing a fine job through its state-of-the-art facility situated in F.B Area, he added.

President KCCI, while extending support to AMTF, noted that AMTF was Pakistan’s first such facility having state of the art Thalassemia Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with all required sub-specialties clinics, medical & diagnostics services for the patients suffering from thalassemia.

It is pertinent to mention here that Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation started its operations with modest meager means in November 2003 and with the passage of time and help from people belonging to different walks of life, AMTF formed an Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Centre which provides leading edge, advanced personalized thalassemia care.
