Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Xolo One smartphone

TOKYO: Xolo has introduced the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Xolo One smartphone. The update has been rolled out via OTA and can also be manually downloaded from the official XOLO support site.  The smartphone was launched in October last year for Rs 6,599.

The Lollipop update brings in Material Design, improved notifications, shortcut keys on the lock screen and improved battery settings.

It comes with a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 pixel display like on other Android One handsets. Xolo One is powered by the MediaTek MTK 6582M SoC which features a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU paired with a 416MHz Mali 400 GPU.

The Xolo One comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory which is expandable to 32GB. On the camera front, we get a 5MP BSI sensor camera with fixed focus. There are the regular bundle of sensors such as accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor.

On the connectivity front, phone have  Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11b/g/n Wi-fi. The Xolo One houses a 1700mAh battery which is rated for 8 hours of talk time on 3G and up to 19 hours on 2G networks.The distinguishing feature of the Xolo One is its leather back cover which comes in four color  including brown, white, red and black.
