LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has booked three drug peddlers including a lady smuggler, besides seizing 1.102 ton of heroin during, 2.5 kilogram of charas worth Rs 7 billion during different actions.
The operations were conducted in Pishin, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Hyderabad. The officials conducted a raid on College Road and arrested a local drug peddler identified as Nizamuddin and recovered 1.9kg heroin from him.
In a successful intelligence-based operation in Quetta, the ANF seized 1.102 ton of heroin concealed at an uninhibited site in the mountainous area of Killi Tor Tangai, Barshore Tehsil, Pishin. The heroin was stuffed in plastic bags.
As per preliminary reports, the consignment was intended to be shifted to some safe location in the coastal area of Balochistan for final dispatch to some unidentified location.
The Rawalpindi ANF in an operation arrested a woman with 500-gram heroin from Mohallah Mehmood Ali, Chah Sultan, Rawal Road. She was reportedly involved in local drug peddling.
In Karachi, acting on a tip-off, the officials arrested drug supplier Haider Bakhsh, resident of Hyderabad, with 2.5kg hashish.
